Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

Ok, so when I was first pregnant with Jaydin, I was convinced I was having a boy. I had come to terms with that fact. So, when the doctor was doing the ultrasound and said "It's a girl!" I nearly cried...out of pure joy. I grew up in a family of 4 girls and no boys. Boys are odd creatures to me (sorry Brady). I'm sure if I were to eventually have a boy that would change, but for now they still scare me. The conversation that follows is the exact reason I wanted a girl so badly (mind you, we were watching Cinderella and that's where she got the idea):

Jaydin: "Mama, gloves...Lella pretty." *Hands me her black velvet gloves*
Mom: "You want to be pretty like Cinderella and wear your gloves?"
Jaydin: "Yeah...oh, beads." *Goes and gets her necklaces*
Mom: "Oh can't forget the beads. What else do you need?"
Jaydin: "A purse!"

So this is the end product:

(As you can see, the time out bench is very effective...since it's her favorite place to sit. We had to find a new spot for time outs.)

Here's a picture and video of her just being silly a little while later:

And unrelated, this is what she did to our computer desk the other day. Good thing she's cute.
